Snail Cuties

Step By Step Directions:

Supplies for Snail:

​

  • Cutie or tangerine

  • googly eyes

  • ​permanent marker

  • scissors

  • glue or jam to stick eyes on

Directions for snail:

​

  • ​Position the cutie on it's side, so that the top (where stem used to be) is on the side of the cutie.

  • Draw the snail on the peel.​

​

  • Poke a hole in the​ bottom of the cutie at the navel.​

​

  • Peel off a strip of the peeling between the head and tail of the snail (from the navel to the stem).

  • Try to take the rest of the peel off in 1 piece.

  • Cut the snail shape out with scissors.

  • Be careful not to cut too close to the antennae as it can break off easily. You can leave more space around the antennae if needed.

​

  • Place the peeled tangerine into the snail shaped peel.

  • Use glue or jam to stick the eyes onto the peel.

  • Draw a mouth with the permanent marker.
