Turtle

Step By Step Directions:

Supplies for turtle:​​

  • scissors

  • Tacky Glue

  • googly eyes

  • ​black marker

  • green paper

​

  • cardboard egg carton

  • washable purple paint

  • paint brush

  • paint cut

  • ​water cup

Directions for the shell:

  • Cut out 1 egg cup.

  • Paint the outside of the egg cup purple.

  • Let paint dry.

Directions for the head, tail and legs:

  • Cut 1 strip of green paper about 1 inch wide and about 10 inches long. (Head)

  • Cut 2 strips of paper about 1/2 inch wide and 5 inches long. (Legs)

  • Head: Roll 1 end of the large strip of paper around the pencil until the paper curls. Leave other end of paper flat. (Tail)

  • ​Legs: Curl 1 end of a small strip of paper toward center. Then, curl the other end of same strip of paper toward center. Repeat steps with 2nd small strip of paper.

  • Put glue around the opening of the painted egg cup.​

  • Glue the large strip of paper on first, with the head curling up on the front side of the egg cup and the flat side down, so that the turtle can sit flat.

  • Criss cross the small strips and glue them to each other in the middle. These are the legs and feet.

  • Glue strips on with 2 of the feet curling up on the left side of the egg cup and 2 feet on the right side of the cup.

  • Cut the tail to a point.

  • Glue the eys on the face.

  • Use a black marker to draw a mosaic pattern on your turtle's shell.

  • Draw lines for the toes.

  • Draw a mouth.

  • Use a pink marker to draw rosie cheeks.
